		<description>Thanks for visiting Brett.  Your adroit analysis of the the medium being the message is a great place to being the conversation.  Yes, we did curate this show in a &quot;pan-media&quot; way in order to show the multifarious legacy of Cage.  In influence spans more than music, dance, and visual art, and has entered into veritably every aspect of cultural production.  On the eve of his centenary we can&#039;t help but look to him as one of our creative pillars; a forebearer of today&#039;s multimedia landscape.  Chance in the arts also spans cultures and ethnicities, with every culture adopting some use of chance in their customs and traditions. 

Regardless, I love what the MCD is holding in store since you&#039;ve taken on this position and I look forward to challenging and engaging programming.
