MCD Speaker Series: Designing Justice + Designing Spaces

July 27, 2017 @ 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Designing Justice + Designing Spaces engages communities in the design and development of new buildings, spaces, and tools to attack the root causes of mass incarceration. Their work seeks to counter the societal inequities evident in the dominant architectural models of courthouses and prisons through the creation of new prototypes such as peacemaking centers, housing for foster age youth and mobile villages.

Hear more about the design challenge of purpose-built pavilions– and how you can contribute– at this MCD Speaker Series event, presented in conjunction with Architectural Pavilions: Experiments and Artifacts.

Exhibition access, artist’s talk and light refreshments included.
