MCD is temporarily closed

Updated Museum of Craft and Design’s COVID-19 NOTICE

Like many institutions, the Museum of Craft and Design is closed for an indeterminate amount of time. We are working remotely to keep forward momentum, and to maintain a connection to you – our valued members, supporters, artists, makers, designers, and neighbors – all the people we care about.

Our doors may be temporarily shuttered, but a virtual MCD is here for you with our new platform, MCD@Home, where we continue to make creativity accessible to everyone. You may also stay connected to us via Facebook, Instagram, shop online at MCD Members, we’d love to hear what you are interested in seeing and doing during this time. Fill out our MCD member survey here.

The museum staff will maintain a remote work schedule to help answer any questions you may have and to continue planning for MCD’s future exciting education programs and exhibitions. For now please note that our current exhibitions, Survival Architecture and Linda Gass: and then this happened…. will be extended through August 2, 2020 and Moto MMXX will open August 22, 2020.

As we assess the impact of MCD’s closure, we need your help in balancing this unknown territory. We understand the volatile effect this pandemic will continue to have on the economy and subsequently, philanthropy, and kindly ask you to consider a donation right now.

All of us at MCD thank you for your encouragement, your trust, and your unflagging support over the last sixteen years. We look forward to the time when we can welcome you with open arms back to the Museum of Craft and Design.

Thank you for your trust in MCD and for helping us make creativity accessible to everyone.

Please contact us at if you have any questions.
