Behind-the-Scenes with Huge Moto + Zero Motorcycles
Friday, December 4, 2020 | 12:00–1:00 PM
Online via ZOOM
Registration for this event is required

In celebration of the exhibition MOTO MMXX, join the Museum of Craft and Design on Zoom for a virtual discussion with industrial designers Bill Webb, Partner at HUGE Design and founder of Huge Moto, and Brian Wismann, VP of Product Development at Zero Motorcycles.

In this virtual event, get an exclusive look at the Zero SM, a custom electric motorcycle featured in MCD’s current exhibition, MOTO MMXX. Bill and Brian will discuss the four year collaborative relationship between Huge Moto and Zero Motorcycles and the processes and inspirations behind their design work. Among their collaborations, the Zero SM stands out, marking a shift in the future of custom motorcycle design. Working primarily with computers, Bill and his team at Huge Moto used design to “refresh an already successful, mechanically proven base motorcycle”, the Zero FXS. Huge designed the Zero SM to feel “futuristic, seamless and lightweight,” says Bill. “Bruce Lee was our philosophical inspiration: lean muscularity with agility and speed!” Following the discussion, Bill and Brian will answer questions from guests.

This special virtual event is free for MCD members. If you are a member and did not receive a direct link to the Zoom registration page, please contact chumphreys@sfmcd.org.

Not an MCD Member? Non-members can also pay a $10 suggested fee or Pay What You Can by registering through Eventbrite. Your support helps us continue to offer virtual events like these.
