A digital portal is opening up in the parklet!

MCD joins the worldwide network of over 100 locations participating in Ars Electronica 2021. After 40 years of cutting-edge technology, art, and innovation programming, the Linz, Austria-based festival connects participants through a variety of both online and in-person programming that reflects and celebrates the new hybrid realities of life in the 21st century.

During this special event, join MCD educators in-person in the parklet for a morning of creative collaboration with kids all the way in New York City! The Virtual Poetry Garden will invite NYC participants to write poetry that will be shared in real-time with participants in SF. On this side of the portal, visitors will create sewable fabric patches inspired by the prose and which incorporate materials, concepts, and techniques found in Mode Brut.

This is a free drop-in event and activity for all ages.
