Mobile MakeArt: Tenderloin SPark
August 9 @ 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
|Recurring Event (See all)
An event every week that begins at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, repeating until December 27, 2022
Off-Site @ 200 block of Turk Street
The Museum of Craft and Design joins the launch of the Tenderloin SPark! Every Wednesday, The Mobile MakeArt van can be found on location, providing new, exciting hands-on projects.
SPark is an 1800 square foot community space that runs along the southern sidewalk of the 200 block of Turk Street. This new space will provide much-needed access to outdoor play areas for local youth, a calm and relaxing space for residents, a space for physical activities, movement, arts, and health classes, and a pet relief area.
Funding for the Museum of Craft and Design’s MakeArt programs is provided by the special interest license plate featuring the image of Snoopy, with permission and support from Peanuts Worldwide (Section 5169 of the Vehicle Code) for the Museum Grant Program under the California Cultural and Historical Endowment. Additional support for MakeArt is made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
