SAVE THE DATE
October 15–20, 2019
Additional trip information coming June 2019
Join us on the Museum of Craft and Design’s next member excursion to Detroit–the epicenter of the American modernist movement. Experience the private collections of the top contemporary craft and design collectors in the country. Visit galleries and take behind-the-scenes tours with curators as you mingle with prized artists and designers. We will also travel just north to the Cranbrook Academy of Art campus, deemed by the New York Times as the “American Bauhaus”. Walk the impressive campus that attracted some of the greatest minds of 20th-century Modernism, including Le Corbusier, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Ray and Charles Eames. We will stay for five nights at the fashionable Siren Hotel in downtown Detroit.
