AccessSFUSD: The Arc Trunk Show
December 11 @ 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Join us at the Museum Store on Wednesday, December 11, for a special Trunk Show featuring beautiful laser-cut jewelries created by AccessSFUSD students. These one-of-a-kind colorful earrings and pins are joyful and make an ideal holiday gift.
Access SFUSD: The Arc is a community-based program for young adults with disabilities that sees San Francisco as its classroom. MCD and AccessSFUSD have worked together for years with students exploring changing exhibitions through tours and workshops. This fall, AccessSFUSD students Henry and Kristen joined the MCD team. Their internship was cross-departmental, providing learning opportunities in the visitor services, education, and administrative areas of the museum world.
This trunk show concludes the internship. It is a celebration that empowers students to present their work and build their social and creative confidence. Don’t miss this opportunity to support young artists with disabilities this holiday season.
ABOUT ACCESS SFUSD: THE ARC
AccessSFUSD: The Arc is a vibrant community-based special education program for students ages 18-22 who are on the certificate of completion track. Our classroom is as dynamic as San Francisco itself, where we teach functional life skills through exciting, hands-on experiences all over the city!
At the heart of our program are our amazing community partnerships. We believe learning happens best when we step outside the four walls and into the real world. Our program runs from 8:40 am to 2:20 pm daily, and we take pride in nurturing student independence and encouraging creative expression. Curious to see us in action? Check out our virtual site tour to experience the fun and learning we offer!
