MakeArt Course: 6-Week Hat Knit Along with Hannah Milstein

February 1, 2025 @ 11:00 AM - March 8, 2025 @ 1:00 PM

Museum of Craft and Design

The Museum of Craft and Design welcomes you into the wonderful world of knitting with this 6-week beginner-friendly course. Led by multimedia artist, former teacher, and knitting wizz Hannah Milstein, this creative community of practice is the perfect place to learn the craft, decode patterns, and detangle any problems along the way. This knit-along will break down a beanie pattern that Hannah is creating exclusively for this course. Each week, we’ll share our progress and tackle the next step of the pattern together.

If you want to learn but are intimidated by the process, this class is for you.

Hannah’s welcoming, expert teaching style makes everyone instantly feel at ease. Together, we will create a creative community – a space to make mistakes and celebrate successes. Coinciding with MCD’s RugLife exhibition, this is the perfect time and place to learn – find inspiration in the fascinating fibers of the exhibition and hone your own skillset.

Class registration includes:

– Optional Beginner knitting kit: Yarn · 13 sizes of circular knitting needles.
– Virtual Access to Missed Classes
– Five free guest passes to MCD
– Snacks and refreshments while in class
– Two complimentary admissions to Fiber Fest on 3/15/24

Pre-registration required. Only 10 spots are available.
