MAKE x Palette
November 21, 2019 @ 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM
On the third Thursday of each month, stay out late with the Museum of Craft and Design, collaborate with artists and makers, explore unique themes and re-think materials through creative design projects.
It’s all about food and gratitude at the final MAKE of 2019!
Come early for a free drink and a very special Artist Happy Hour featuring innovative SF restaurant + gallery, Palette. From their art-themed menus to their custom, handcrafted wares, hear from artist and chef-proprietor Peter J. Hemsley and lead ceramicist Andrew Kontrabecki about their creative symbiosis in exploring the relationship between food, art and community.
Step into the exhibitions for a plethora of hands-on projects inspired by the materials and concepts found in Interior/Exterior. Design your Thanksgiving aesthetic with decorative elements, including mini-brick votives, “Special Occasion” table runners and repurposed fabric throw pillows with SF Etsy lead and OodleBaDoodle proprietor, Rebecca Saylor. Bring an old t-shirt or blanket from home for added personalization!
PLUS Enjoy a creative gratitude meditation and grab a craft lemonade beverage (adult or otherwise!) to benefit of our neighbors at the SF Marin Food Bank. Vendor pop-up with local zero-waste culinary design company, Àplat.
Cash/Square bar for guests over 21 • Complimentary drink tickets for MCD members; ID required
