ARTIST STATEMENT: JOJO LIU
My art practice is based in the rich and beautiful tradition of Chinese calligraphy. Chinese calligraphy is one of the most traditional art forms in the world and is truly representative of Eastern art and culture. My grandfather inspired and taught me to practice Chinese calligraphy from a young age, and I continue to have more love for it every day.
By introducing my experience and passion, I present a modern twist to traditional Chinese calligraphy. My work strikes a delicate balance between traditional calligraphy and art with a personal flair.
