We Are OMI’s third annual Mid Autumn Festival at the Minnie and Lovie Ward Recreational Center is happening September 14, complete with cultural treats, storytime, performances by the SF Guzheng Music Society, and MCD’s Mobile MakeArt van. MCD is partnering with local Chinese calligraphy artist Jojo Liu and bringing neon glowing paper lanterns to the celebration. Bending the tradition of calligraphy with a colorful Neon as Soulcraft twist, these lanterns are a can’t-miss!

We Are OMI is a community organization dedicated to supporting the Ocean View, Merced Heights, and Ingleside neighborhoods of San Francisco. Their goal is to support local parks and green spaces, while also connecting neighbors and creating community.
