Mobile MakeArt: LightHouse for the Blind
January 9, 2025 @ 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
The Museum of Craft and Design partners with the LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired to facilitate monthly art projects reflective of MCD’s current exhibitions.
Explore RugLife through haptic, hands-on making and come away with a hand-made wall hanging. Dive into exhibition concepts like the feeling of home rugs denote and the personal identity that can be interwoven in these artifacts. Build upon or begin your textile creative journey and engage with fiber arts through RugLife programming until the exhibition’s conclusion in April 2025.
January 9, 2025, 11:00: AM–1:00 PM at LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired
1155 Market St, 10th floor, San Francisco, CA 94103
This project has been developed in collaboration with the Lighthouse community. Thank you for sharing your insight and expertise to make weaving more accessible to Blind and Low Vision paticipants.
This program is designed specially for the blind and visually impaired community. We welcome you to the LightHouse even if you are not currently involved with the organization. Please reach out to MCD Programs Manager Marie Deininger or LightHouse Adult Programs Coordinator Maia Scott for more information.
