Mobile MakeArt: LightHouse for the Blind
May 2 @ 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
The Museum of Craft and Design partners with the LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired to facilitate monthly art projects reflective of MCD’s current exhibitions.
May’s project, ‘A Robot Made It, First’, was co-authored by Rae Lanzerotti and is inspired by the 3D printed textiles featured in Mr. Roboto. This MakeArt project asks you to reflect on the tactile work and delight of art, an iterative exchange with human makers and robotic fabricators guaranteed to spark creativity and collaboration.
This program is designed specially for the blind and visually impaired community. We welcome you to the LightHouse even if you are not currently involved with the organization. Please reach out to MCD Programs Manager Marie Deininger or LightHouse Adult Programs Coordinator Maia Scott for more information.
