Mobile MakeArt: LightHouse for the Blind
November 7 @ 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
The Museum of Craft and Design partners with the LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired to facilitate monthly art projects reflective of MCD’s current exhibitions. Join us as we create a participatory haptic artwork to travel with MCD’s Mobile MakeArt van and to be displayed through the museum’s community partners upon the close of our current exhibitions.
This project responds to the desire of the Lighthouse for intentional art—art that lives beyond this monthly program, builds community connections, and offers a platform for Blind and Low Vision artists to speak directly to the public.
This program is designed specially for the blind and visually impaired community. We welcome you to the LightHouse even if you are not currently involved with the organization. Please reach out to MCD Programs Manager Marie Deininger or LightHouse Adult Programs Coordinator Maia Scott for more information.
