MakeArt Accessible: Access After Hours

January 24 @ 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Museum of Caft and Design

Spend your night at the museum! The Museum of Craft and Design has partnered with the LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired to bring after-hours art-making, haptic experiences, and art exploration to the galleries.

Access After Hours is designed specially for the blind and visually impaired community. Touch tours and hands-on art projects forge multisensory connections to our current exhibition—Designing Peace.

Designing Peace explores the unique role design can play in pursuing peace. Heavy but hopeful, the exhibition focuses on global peaceful design and leverages the power of objects to unlock connections and conversations. Join us at the museum and creatively explore the role you can play in designing peace.

MakeArt Accessible:

MCD is dedicated to making our space and programs more accessible. If you are interested in getting involved, please get in touch with Marie Deininger at mdeininger@sfmcd.org | 415-773-0303 extension 310.

This event is open to the Blind and Visually Impaired Community.
Pre-registration encouraged.
