Mobile MakeArt: LightHouse for the Blind

LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired

The Museum of Craft and Design partners with the LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired to facilitate monthly art projects reflective of MCD’s current exhibitions.

Embrace the twists and turns and find peace in the journey. Labyrinth facilitator Maia Scott leads participants through the practice of creating a handheld labyrinth—a mobile tool for mindfulness that fosters comfort, connectedness, and creativity.

This program is designed specially for the blind and visually impaired community. We welcome you to the LightHouse even if you are not currently involved with the organization. Can’t make it to the LightHouse? Maia Scott’s practice is currently highlighted in MCD’s MakeArt Lab. Explore our current exhibition, Designing Peace and make a handheld labyrinth on site.
