SF Made, a nonprofit focused on developing our city’s manufacturing sector and empowering local artisans, hosted a panel aimed at helping product makers in all industries understand how buyers make their purchasing decisions. The three panelists represented local stores, online platforms, and larger markets. MCD’s Store Manager, Debra Lande, was one of the three chosen panelists.
“What a treat and honor to share a panel with Jessie from Bi-Rite Market and Adrienne of Covet,” says MCD Store Manager Debra Lande. “It was a stimulating evening full of lively discussion on best practices and lots of wisdom and tips for how makers can approach buyers with their products. For all makers who really want to know the skinny on how to reach the buyers, this panel is a must-attend.”
In this interactive session attendees learned about the buying calendar (when buyers are looking for new products), where buyers source new products, how to approach buyers, and how to build a strong relationship with your buyers.
Visit the MCD Store to meet Debra and hear her explain some of her favorite items to you in-person!
