Ghouls just want to have fun…and they can at SF Recreation & Park’s Scaregrove program at Stern Grove Park! This free annual crowd-spooker draws in residents from across San Francisco with carnival rides, hay mazes, and costume contests. MCD joins the fun with a terrifying twist on a much-loved art activation.

MCD’s Mobile MakeArt activation features Spooky Simulated Stained Glass Shrinky Dinks! Create a custom creepy design or get inspired by the magnificent mythical beings featured in the works of MCD’s current exhibition: Judith Shaechter: Super/Natural. Layering and designing on both sides of the shrinky dink plastic echoes Schaechter’s signature approach of layering and engraving glass, which results in incredibly detailed masterworks.
