Colour Matters. The Alchemy of Design

June 26 - October 31, 2027

Guest Curator: Elisabetta Pisu of the IMF Foundation based in Rome, Italy.

Color is a fundamental component of our lives and our relationship with objects. Colour Matters. The Alchemy of Design reflects on the role of color in design. Here, color assumes a strategic role: one that contributes perceived value and new meaning to objects. The exhibition will unfold in four sections–Origin, Light, Sign, and Gesture–each exploring a different way to understand the creative potential and conceptual dimension of color through nearly 40 contemporary functional objects from around the globe.

The objects on display offer diverse perspectives on these design dimensions. Color emerges as a stimulus for new paths of research and experimentation, constantly evolving and profoundly connected to human needs.
